United States' 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Truck

Design

All four wheels or just the rear two can provide power for the 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Truck.

The 3/4 Ton could also be used in desert conditions as there was a four quart capacity radiator surge tank.

Variants

  • 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Truck:
  • 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Weapons Carrier: Was used to carry weapons, tools, and equipment. Had a removable canvas top. There were bucket seats in the cab.
  • 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Ambulance: To be used by the Medical Corps. Could carry 4 litter or 8 seated patients. There was heating and insulation. Early models had a closed cab, and later models an open cab with a canvas top.
  • 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Telephone Installation: To be used by the Signal Corps. The body had compartments for storing tools. There was a 24' extension ladder mounted on the left side.
  • 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Carryall Truck:
  • 3/4 Ton, 4x4, Command and Reconnaissance Truck: Staff officers would use this for transportation. It could have a radio installed.
