Soviet Union's Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-5 fighter

Design

Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich designed the MiG-5. It was the only MiG to have a radial engine. The La-5 was chosen as the better fighter for production. The MiG-5 was based on the fuselage and wing of the MiG-3.

Construction

The construction of the MiG-5 was wood and metal.
