Italy's Fiat/Spa truck

Design

Before its entry into World War II the Italian military did try to standardize on the truck models that were to be used.1 The Fiat/Spa was a dated design however.1

To start the Fiat/Spa's engine someone had to hand crank it.1

Usage

Great Britain's Usage

As the Fiat/Spa didn't have a carburetor to get plugged up with sand the British valued the captured Fiat/Spas.1

German Usage

After the Italian surrender, the Germans confiscated and then used the Fiat/Spas in all theaters of operation.1
