Design

With the large number of tanks captured after the fall of France many were converted into new roles.

Chassis

The chassis was a French Renault R35 tank with its turret removed.2

Armament

The main gun was a 4.7cm Czechoslovakian anti-tank gun.2

The PzJg R35s first appeared in early 1943.2

Of the 110 PzKpfw 35R(f)s that were left in 1944 most were located in France.
