Germany's Unit Strengths

These are very approximate as to what the units were supposed to have in strength. As the war wore on most units were well below assigned strength.

Corps 2 or more divisions
Corps Detachment 3 division groups
Division 10,000 to 18,000 men
150-200 panzers
Brigade 2 or more battalions
Regiment Normally 2 or 3 battalions
Kampfgruppe Usually regiment in size
Battalion 2 or more companies (300-600 men, or 17-60 tanks)
Company 3 or 4 platoons (80-100 men, 8-15 tanks)
Platoon 20-30 men, 3-5 tanks
Section 2 squads
Squad 7-10 men, 1 tank
