France's De Grasse class Cruisers

Design

The De Grasse class were to be modified La Galissonnière class cruisers that would be part of the 1937 Program.1 On 19372 / October 18, 1938 the De Grasse was ordered.1 In 1939 the Chateaurenault was authorized but it was never ordered.1 The 1938 Program authorized the Guichen but it also was not ordered.1
