France's Loire-Nieuport 40 dive-bomber

Design

The Loire-Nieuport 40 was similar to the Junkers Ju 87. It started as an independent venture as there was no government request for one to be built.

Prototype

The prototype was built in 1939. An order of 83 planes was eventually made even though the Loire-Nieuport 40 wasn't considered acceptable.
